He served as President of the Oregon Chapter for the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) in 1999-2000. He was named SMPS Oregon Chapter Marketer of the Year in 2003, and was a member of the Portland Chapter of AIA Board of Directors in 2002. (American Institute of Architects).
